A Successful Day on the Course!
Tech For Troops is proud to share the success of our 4th Annual Golf Tournament, held on Monday the 8th, an absolutely gorgeous, sunny September day. With the incredible support of our sponsors, players, volunteers, Dixon Golf, and guest pro Jeff Crittenden, the event raised over $25,000 to help further our mission of supporting Veterans. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this day possible and continue to stand with us in empowering those who served. E-WASTE DRIVE & GARAGE SALE
A huge thank you to everyone who donated and shopped at our E-Waste & Garage Sale!
Because of your support, we had a fantastic turnout, especially on e-waste, bringing in $1,555 in value, which equals a 4,021 kg carbon offset. Every sale and donation helps us continue bridging the digital divide for veterans, active duty, and their families while keeping electronics out of landfills.
9TH ANNUAL SEAS THE DAY VETERANS OUTDOOR DAY
Tech For Troops had the privilege of being part of the 9th Annual Seas The Day Veterans Outdoor Day at Walnut Creek Park in the Charlottesville area. This incredible event brought together Veterans, active duty service members, and their families for a day filled with outdoor adventure, camaraderie, and connection.
We were honored to share our mission turning donations into technology, training, and opportunities to support Veterans and their families while connecting with so many inspiring people in this community.
DIGITAL EDUCATION CLASS - SHENANDOAH UNIVERSITY
Tech For Troops was proud to lead a Digital Education class yesterday at Shenandoah University, hosted by the Northern Shenandoah Valley Community Veterans Engagement Board (NSV CVEB). The Gamemaster and his sidekick, Hawk, guided Veterans through an engaging session that ended with each participant walking away with new skills and a new laptop.
A big thank-you to NSV CVEB for funding this important event and to Virginia Worx for helping spread the word. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support and empower Veterans on their digital journey.
FIRST RESPONDERS–REGIONAL RESILIENCE AND WELLNESS SUMMIT
We’re proud to have been invited to participate in the First Responders–Regional Resilience and Wellness Summit on September 18th at the Keystone Antique Truck & Tractor Museum in Colonial Heights, VA.
Tech For Troops was there sharing how technology, training, and community support can empower veterans, first responders, and their families.
Thank you to the organizers and attendees for welcoming us to this incredible event focused on resilience and wellness.
LAST SQUIRRELS GAME OF THE SEASON
The Richmond Flying Squirrels season wrapped up on September 14th and their final game at The Diamond, since a new stadium is currently under construction and being readied for the 2026 season. What a season it was to have been a part of the Squirrels’ Very Important Veteran (VIV) program.
A heartfelt thank you to the Richmond Squirrels organization, the incredible Richmond community, and all of our sponsors. Most importantly, we’re grateful to every Veteran who joined us at the games. Your presence is what makes VIV truly special.

From What’s Happening RVA: After a tour with Mark Casper, I was blown away by what Tech For Troops really does—securely destroying hard drives, refurbishing PCs, and training Veterans in life-changing skills. Their mission is powerful: supporting Veterans and their families while saving lives through technology and opportunity.
This event is a chance to do what we do best — connect, network, and have fun — while helping an amazing nonprofit continue their work.

TECH200 HANOVER
200 COMPUTERS FOR VETERANS
Tech For Troops is providing 200 laptop computers to eligible active-duty military members and veterans in the Hanover, Virginia area through its TECH200 program.
To participate, applicants must live in the Hanover region, provide proof of military service, and understand that registration does not guarantee a laptop; recipients will be randomly selected and notified by text, with one laptop available per family and distribution taking place locally in December.
