From Richmond to Times Square: discover how Tech For Troops landed in the heart of NYC.

Thanks to our friends at AWS, we were connected with Paramount Veterans Network, a community and initiative by Paramount Global (the folks that own CBS and Nickelodeon to name a few) that supports Veterans and military families by providing career development, mentorship, internships, and professional networking opportunities, particularly within the media industry.

We are so grateful to them for donating this incredible billboard space and helping us spread the mission on one of the biggest stages in the world.

E-WASTE DRIVE & GARAGE SALE

September is here and so is our very first weekend E-waste Recycling & Garage Sale Event on Saturday, September 13th from 10 am to 1 pm at our headquarters at 4840 Waller Road. It will be the first time we are open for e-waste drop-off hours on a Saturday, something we plan to do regularly. In addition to accepting donations of electronics, our garage sale will accept monetary donations for tech equipment and gaming gear.

Proceeds from all donations help fund our Veteran Laptop and Game Corps suicide prevention programs.

VIETNAM SERVICE RECOGNITION

Tech For Troops is proud to share that our own staff member, George Gagnon, presented a Vietnam Veteran Commemoration pin to Patrice Trisko, one of our incredible volunteers, who served in the U.S. Air Force from 1974–1982 as a Ground Radio Maintenance Technician. She is not only eligible for the Vietnam Commemorative Lapel Pin for her own service, but also as the surviving spouse of Senior Master Sgt. Robert A. Trisko, who proudly served until his retirement in 1991. Since becoming a partner in 2020, George has honored and pinned more than 300 Veterans who served between 1955–1975.

We were honored to recognize both Patrice and Robert for their service and sacrifice.

BIG NEWS—OUR CEO, MARK CASPER, HAS BEEN INVITED TO HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF VETERAN SUPPORT IN VIRGINIA.

On June 19, 2025, Tech For Troops proudly celebrated a milestone as our CEO, Mark Casper, was voted onto the Virginia Veterans Foundation (VVF) Board of Directors. For over a decade, Tech For Troops has partnered with the VFW Department of Virginia to provide computers and laptops to Veterans, family survivors, and VFW Posts across the state. This collaboration has ensured Posts are equipped with the technology they need to thrive in today’s digital world.

We are honored that Mark will now bring Tech For Troops’ mission and perspective directly to the VVF Board, strengthening our shared commitment to supporting Virginia’s Veterans and their families.
