We’re Now Open on Saturdays!
You asked, and we listened. For the first time, Tech For Troops is now offering Saturday donation hours. Starting immediately, we are open on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm EST.
Our regular hours remain Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Adding Saturday hours makes it easier for individuals, families, and businesses to donate equipment on a day when work schedules aren’t in the way. If you’ve been meaning to donate but couldn’t make it during the week, this one’s for you.
Tech For Troops will be closed during specific Saturdays that holidays are on below.
Valentine’s Day — Saturday, February 14, 2026 – Closed
Independence Day — Saturday, July 4, 2026 – Closed
Halloween — Saturday, October 31, 2026 – Closed
What We’re Most Often Looking For
If you’re cleaning out an office, upgrading equipment, or just decluttering at home, here are some of the items we can put to good use right away:
- Working or non-working laptops (please include power adapters)
- Desktop computers
- Working flat panel monitors
- iPads and tablets (Apple devices must be disabled and deactivated)
- Cell phones (Apple devices must be disabled and deactivated)
- Keyboards, mice, and other computer components
- Networking wire such as Cat5 and Cat6
All hard drives are wiped prior to recycling or refurbishing.
We Also Recycle Electronics Free of Charge
In addition to the items above, we accept many electronics at no cost. This helps keep harmful materials out of landfills while supporting our mission. Examples include:
- Computers and computer equipment
- Monitors, speakers, and networking equipment
- Game systems and accessories
- Phones, tablets, and smart watches
- Cables, cords, and power supplies
- Office electronics and testing equipment
If you’re unsure about an item, feel free to ask. Chances are, we can recycle it.
Secure Data Destruction Services
Tech For Troops also accepts certain hard-to-recycle or sensitive items for a low fee. These services help individuals and organizations securely dispose of data-bearing devices.
We offer professional data destruction with the option to receive a Certificate of Destruction once service is complete.
- Single overwrite data destruction: $7.50
- Optional corporate-grade certified data destruction compliant with NIST, HIPAA, NSA, and DoD standards
