Doing good doesn’t have to have contact.
COVID has disrupted everything we do, even the way that we volunteer and do good for others. But that doesn’t have to stop us, it makes it look a little different. We were still able to serve over 300 veterans last year, socially distanced of course, with computers and training.
Below we’ve listed some more ways that you can help us serve even more veterans this year with technology and training.
– Donating your old computers, cell phones, and other retired equipment
You’re welcome to stop by anytime for curbside pickup of your retired technology. We’re also hosting a contactless E-Waste Drive from March 29th to April 3rd. Check out this page for more details.
– Recurring Monthly Donations
$5 a month may not seem like much, but little things add up. For organizations like Tech For Troops, 5-20 dollars a month can make a huge difference to the number of veterans we’re able to serve with technology and training
– Sharing posts on social
Not just for Tech For Troops but any organization, when you share them on social it helps them to keep going. Added buzz and awareness means that, even if you don’t have the resources to help right now, maybe you know someone who does.
– Attendance of virtual events
Many organizations have gone virtual with COVID. Participating in these events helps to continue to raise awareness and shows the organization that you have people who still care.
